The story behind the storyteller, William Seale J.R.

1)      What is your Author name; use your Pen name if you have one.

William Seale J.R.

2)      How far along are you on your current work-in-progress?

Currently I am working on the second book in my trilogy, “Last of the Usurpers.” I am about 50ish percent of the way done, but it just keeps pouring out of me.

3)      Do you challenge yourself to writing sprints? If so, how long are they?

Normally I write for about 8-10 hours a day, Monday through Thursday. I don’t try to force anything, if it comes I allow it and don’t stop until it’s done.

4)      How did you come up with your cover design?

I had two ideas originally, but the one that spoke to me was the one that currently is the main cover. This cover came to me because it represents the entire idea of the story “SEARCHING” and the journey to get there.

5)      Have you ever taken a course on writing or advertising? If so, which one(s) and how would you rate them?

I have not, my stories just come to me.

6)      Did you ever feel like giving up? If so, how did you overcome that?

Mostly around when I first began. I have dyslexia and was afraid that my writing wouldn’t be good enough, then I realized I am writing this story for me, just as much as everyone else. All you need to do is surround yourself with people who love you, and will tell you the things you need to hear. No one can go through life alone, and what is storytelling except the sharing and living of many lives.

7)      How much description do you give to your book characters?

I try to give a vivid description, but I mostly want them understood by their words and actions. I want something to give you an image, but allow their actions to give them their details.

8)      What is your favorite book and why?

Hands down the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. These books helped me overcome my dyslexia because they enshrined me so perfectly.

9)      Where is your favorite place to read?

A comfy chair, with good music. One that I can constantly lean on the left and right arm of.

10)   What book protagonist would you love to talk to if he/she/they were real?

Honestly, I would probably choose Gandalf. He is so wise and caring. I feel, if you were to sit and have a relaxing conversation with him you would be inspired to fight even the worst of monsters.

11)   If you could take one item out of any book that you have ever read, what would it be or why?

Hands down a dragon egg. I would LOVE to be a dragon rider, like it’s my fantasy dream. I adore dragons and the magic they represent.

12)   What is one book that is currently on your To-Be-Read list?

The Dragon Lords, Fool’s Gold. By Jon Hollins

13)   If you could live in any “book world” what would that be?

My own. Once the trilogy is finished you will understand exactly what that means, but the idea of my world is that those who are passionate, those that feel a powerful drive, can achieve their dreams.

14)   What is your best book memory?

Hands down the first moment I opened Eragon, unless you mean writing, But the moment I opened that book and read the prologue I was caught. I instantly wanted to read them all, little did I know that was going to help forge my entire life.

15)   What is the name of your book/series? Tell me a little bit about them.

“Last of the Usurpers.” My book is about the journey of a legendary warrior, Argent, who has become a father and his journey to save his daughter who has been taken from him. The story follows three main perspectives as you read: one from the father, Argent, one from the daughter, Sylphaya, and finally, Taymesh, the man who took the daughter. You will read about their individual challenges and their struggle to remain the person they wish to be.

16)   Do you have a website? If so, what is it?

I do not, sadly.

17)   Where can we find and follow you? (Name your social media platforms.)

You can find me on Facebook where I mostly post about my book, and the books I am writing.

Click this link: Facebook

18)   If there anything important that you would want my readers to know about you?

All you need to know about me is that I love stories, that no matter what I will be following my dreams for the rest of my life. If you wish to follow my stories closely you need simply find my books, I plan to write until my heart gives out.
