Absolutely loved this book! So much has happened in volume eight and I'm here for it!! Don't get me wrong, things were happening in the other books too, but with the long winter and whatnot, a change of scenery was definitely needed.
Lif's life over the past few books has been pretty rough & volume seven crushed me. However, volume eight came in and gave my heart life again! It's so hard cause I don't wanna mention any spoilers.. but there were a few scenes in this book that had me crying happy tears.. with a few sad ones too. haha
For anyone debating whether to start this series or not... just try it already! Specially for anyone interested in Norse mythology & Vikings. I really think it's such a unique series. Katharine Wibell is an amazing writer and thankfully the wait between books isn't terrible. It's definitely a series that needs to be read in order though. Hoping the next paperback of volumes 5-8 comes out soon!

The more I read of this series, the more I become entangled in the continuing saga of Lif and her companions in their quest. This book didn't disappoint and I was on the edge of my seat so to speak as each new challenge came their way. If you love Viking lore then you will love the retelling of it here. Thanks for another great read, Katharine.
