-welcome to my worlds-
The Guardian's Speaker
Volume Four
Men could not survive outside their world.
Líf believed this. Her family believed this as well. So, what they had done was just short of impossible. They had left Midgard’s shores only to arrive in Jötunheim, the realm of giants that gave this land its name. Gods be with them.
After freeing the slave, Brasir, Líf and her family were outlawed. The only way to regain the good graces of their people was to prove that the warning Brasir brought was true. All humanity was in peril, and only he, because of his unique and innate gift, could prevent it. Yet, he was not the only one born with a special ability. Líf could see and communicate with each person’s animal-shaped guardian spirit.
Líf’s trust in this stranger’s word had begun this dastardly journey. But she would be alive when it ended?

Líf and her family were banished after she freed Brasir the slave, and now they must suffer the consequences. They all believed that their people couldn’t survive anywhere but Midgard, but when they enter the realm of Jötunheim, they are proved wrong. With tensions high and people at each other’s throats, can they survive this strange new land?
Wow!!! I love this series, and this fourth installment did not disappoint. I feel like Líf and her family were really tested in this one; as in their loyalty to each other and their people’s loyalty to them. The ending was a shocker as usual, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Lif’s story continues in book 4 of the Guardian’s Speaker as she and the crew leave Midgard, the world of man, and enter Jotunheim, the world of ice giants. Humans aren’t supposed to be there and they face many dangers along the way, from the dreadful cold to the ice giants themselves. Like all the previous books, this novella is well written and fast paced. Lif has more internal struggles and she’s really growing as a character. Thray and the other fylgur help the crew again so Lif is becoming more important to the mission’s completion. You definitely have to read these in order and if you’ve read the first 3 I highly recommend continuing!

This a well written face paced novel, about their journey through the land of the giants. I felt so many emotions reading this book. They had a lot to face on their journey forward, especially the cold. There was a lot of action and suspense, I love how Thray and the other fylgur help the crew. Overall, it left you excited to see what their next adventure will be.

Lif and her crew have managed the impossible. They have passed from Midgard to Jotunheim, something they shouldn't live through. All in the name of saving humanity because of the Brasir and his gift. Now she needs to pray they'll make it through this adventure.
I have loved Lif through the entire series and how willing she is to try and save humanity and their spirit guardians. The plot is completely unique and gives way to an adventure of a story.
